Welcome to the MCF
Collaborative Ventures Initiative
Program Leadership Programs Contacts
In 2000, MCF’s Board of Trustees adopted a five-year strategic plan to set the course for the next half-century. A critical component of that plan was to identify and implement collaborative initiatives to benefit member institutions. The purpose of the MCF Collaborative Ventures Initiative (CVI) is to leverage the benefits of collaboration which have proven so successful for over 50 years in raising revenue. It does so by leveraging linkages between the endeavors of any one member college with those of the others such as combining the procurement needs of multiple campuses to create economies of scale. The CVI aims to capitalize on the unique spirit of cooperation that has evolved among member schools to identify and implement collaborative projects. These projects create efficiencies in both the management and delivery of private higher education in Michigan, improve services and reduce costs. MCF considers collaborative projects a key component of its goals, as they directly address the problem of keeping private higher education affordable.
