Dr. Robert Bartlett

Robert Bartlett joined the Michigan Colleges Foundation as its fifth president in September 2008.

Dr. Bartlett has spent more than 20 years in higher education in a variety of academic and administrative roles. He has served in senior positions at such independent institutions as Cornell University, University of Chicago, and University of Rochester.

Prior to joining MCF, Dr. Bartlett was a senior management consultant to colleges, universities, and other non-profit organizations in the areas of strategic planning, marketing, and fundraising. His consulting practice has included extensive work with the Global Board of Higher Education and Ministry of the United Methodist Church, working in program development and fundraising for the Methodist Global Education Fund for Leadership Development and in connection-wide higher education marketing.

He received his undergraduate education at Stetson University and his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Public Administration from Cornell University. Dr. Bartlett also holds an M.A.R. in Religious Studies from Yale Divinity School and was a post doctoral fellow in the Department of Education at the University of Chicago.
